I am a little bothered when using my gas fired pot and I am looking a more versatile and space saving solution . I have found in my local market stainless steel vessel is provided in two volumes 75 and 50 liters . I am fond of the 75liter one but my concern is that they are not pressure formed like kitchen pots they are welded on the side and I believe the bottom part is then pressure crimped to the side part (they sold as olive oil or wine using a special cover storage container so are they suitable for foods )they are made from 304 SS but the material is not so thick I believe is 0.6 mm . Fiting a heating element and bring the wort to the boil does the vessel will survive or it will deformed (making odd cracking noises ) ?.
I plan to use a 2.4kw element not so fast as my gas stove I believe but more convenient I believe in terms of storing .
What's your experience / thoughts about my idea?

Firstly, I know nothing about elements so someone else will have to help you out there.
The pic of the pot looks good
. Sounds a bit expensive but I have no idea of prices in Europe.
I have a 60 litre pot I use to store various grains in etc and it has very thin walls - possibly 0.6 mm. You can actually flex the walls of this pot without having to press too hard but a mate of mine brewed with it for several years - using a gas burner as well!
If you are going electric, the thickness of the bottom of the pot is irrelevant. So, the only doubts I have are this pressure crimp and the welding - the same doubts as you have so I am not really being very helpful here
.
To be honest, I'd be a bit scared and would, if possible, do a bit more looking around. I use 70 litre SS pots and they have 1.2mm thick walls plus a thick bottom. When I double batch, I fill them right up and I appreciate their strength. I reckon it is better to have something you are confident in.
Aluminium is another perfectly good option and about a third of the price.

G'day Nik, I agree with Pat. I would be concerned, not about the welded side, but about the press fitted bottom. I wouldn't get one for fear of the bottom falling out or simply failing. That said it will probably make great beer for years.

I have to agree with you with the bottom that's the part I am aware of as it is maybe is sturdy but when heat is envolded I am not sure what is gona happen with the physical thermal shrinking of the material .
I will look more on same type of vessels to find something more appropriate I believe the material thickness is not a problem I think the UNRs maybe they are using the same thickness so not much trouble.
If something came up I plan to insulate it permanent with an appropriate material to have minimal thermal loss .

May be someone who uses Unr can help me describing his vessel regarding material thickness and construction.
