A BIAB Brew Day with lots of pictures

Post #1 made 13 years ago
Hey Guys,

I'm new to the forum but have been very happy with BIAB since I first tried it a year ago. All grain has never been easier or taken less time and equipment! I look forward to spending time on here and seeing how everyone else does it.

Here are some pictures (linked below) of my 10 gallon BIAB process if anyone would like to check it out.

Did you make your own bag or buy it?
I bought it online from Jeff over at http://www.brewinabag.weebly.com.

He's great and his bags are very well made.

 Nice  I don't need a new bag now, but after I finish my degree, move, and upgrade to a larger kettle, I was considering buying a bag from them. I'll probably stick to 5g batches, but its nice to know that I can do a high gravity beer without concern.

Bravo, Great job! I could never be that organized. That's maybe why I BIAB? It is soooooo forgiving to lazy bum like myself.
tap 1 Raspberry wine
tap 2 Bourbon Barrel Porter
tap 3 Czech Pilsner
tap 4 Triple IPA 11% ABV

Pipeline: Mulled Cider 10% ABV

Nice job preaching the word Brother TK, lets see how many more we can convert to the Church of the BIAB.

I'll also vouch for the quality of bags that Jeff makes. Love mine. Stiched together like a tank. He'll tailor the bag to fit the specific dimensions of your pot too.

Yeah, they are $35 which is expensive compared to making your own, but I really like the custom fit and handles. It's definitly worth it IMO. I actually spung for 2 so that I can layer them for extremely large batches. Otherwise I alternate so they will last a loooooong time.
