Recommend Homebrew books for Xmas?

Post #1 made 11 years ago
Hi All,

Thanks to BIAB, I pretty much have all the equipment I really need to brew beer. I'm guessing that my family would like to give me something beer-related for a Xmas gift. Are there any books containing recipes with integrity that would make a good reference to have?

Thanks,
Steve

There are a few that seem to get mentioned regularly.
"Brewing classic styles" seems to be popular in the USA & Australia, I am not saying it is unpopular elsewhere, but here in the UK the most prominent one seems to be "Brew Your Own Real Ale" by Graham Wheeler. I guess it depends what you prefer to make & drink.
Lagers - Maybe Noonan? Belgians - Brew like a monk?

Actually the choice is so much, maybe just look through the link Joshua posted!

I got 'The Complete Beer Course' for Christmas last year, and although its not a book about brewing, it is what got me started brewing. Great easy read about every style, the history behind them, and '2 to taste' commercial examples of each with several backups. Awesome book...
