      Hello,
      
      I am into my third AG brew now and I think Im getting the hang of it. The other day I added a yeast starter to my brew and I was wondering if Biabacus can help me compensate with some more grain and hops to reach the desired IBU and OG?

      I agree With Yeasty, its negligible and not even worth worrying about.
      
      For me I get my Starter going 2 - 3 days prior to brewday. Usually a 1 litre starter. (Unless using Dry yeast then I dont bother with a Starter)
      
      On the morning of my Brewday I take the Starter off the Striplate, and let it sit in the fridge. The yeast starts to drop out of suspension. Then when I am ready to pitch I decant off the wort from the Starter, Pitch the Yeast slurry and you are away.
      
      So in Reality maybe...

   2. Biabacus, more rows for hop bill

      I've stumbled across a recipe that has so many hops in each addition that the rows in Biabacus simply aren't enough. Is there a way to add more rows?

      The main BIABacus release will have, on the Unit Tools tab, a Hopmix calculator. For now Ollie, post your hopbill and someone will show you how to get it into the BIABacus.

   3. BIABacus, auto efficency and specialty malts

      I have played around with BIABacus all night and there are two things I'm thinking of.
      
      1. Shouldn't the mashing time affect efficency estimates? I know that 90 minutes is preferable but if I would like to follow a recipe to the letter and use 60 minutes of mash time shouldn't this then result in a lower efficency? This is NOT to critizise BIABacus in any way but to aid in my learning process.
      
      2. I read somewhere that there or more or less no fermantable sugars in specailty malts. If a...

      Okay, I am going to jump in here. Lots of fairly okay to good answers here but on this forum we really need to be finalising threads like this within ten posts at most. So let's rewind and summarise....
      
      First question: Yes, mash time does affect efficiency into the boil. No software allows for this but the BIABacus is working on a formula for it.
