      Hi
      Just received one of these MaltMuncher grain mills off trade me of all places
      Fantastic price delivered from Oz all in $135 NZD.
      Its actually a Keg King Maltmuncher No 5441.
      Looks pretty Kosher hopefully mount to some mdf for the weekend to try out a Ruddles County style brew.
      Have they fallen off the back of a lorry that's quite a saving.

      A bit of an update on my Mash Master Mini Mill. Theres a thread on AHB about the knurling on the MKII rollers getting dull. I got my mill in August 2014 and without experience didnt notice a problm at first. My last brew took 45 mins to crush 9kg of grain and that was with me pushing down the hopper with bit of 2x4. There was heaps of flour and the mash was dough ball city. Even with BIAB.
      
      If you have been reading on AHB youll know the story. MM have brought out MkIII which has fluted rollers....

      Just to say
      All the info on here has helped me tremendously and sometimes you can have too much Lol. I am well into double figures for brews and think it is just a case of getting stuck in and doing it , once that first one is out the way things get easier.
      Haven't had a duff brew yet though of course some are better than others.(Still have three or four conditioning seems to take forever)
      All my kit is very low budget sourced second hand or from various places on Ebay.

      Haven't been able to post on here for a long time (pretty painful spinal injury) and this might be my last post for a bit as am, more than ever, I'm running behind.
      
      Just wanted to say I enjoyed reading the above because it says that the site is making things easier for at least some brewers. And yep SP, it is very frustrating when you do see, misinformation about BIAB that should have died by now... Dealing with/combatting misinformation, in the painstaking, time-consuming, one-on-one manner...

   3. Frozen American Amber

      Just been to check my BCS American Amber bloody frozen solid ...
      Then I remembered I fitted new security lights at the weekend and turned the electricity off to the garage.
      Must have somehow wiped the settings on my stc 1000 temp controller and switched the freezer on.
      Hoping to defrost get up to pitching temps and repitch fingers crossed.

   4. Home Grown Hops

      Got some Sticklebrat Hops (In Picture) that are going to be picked soon also some Green Bullet and Smoothcones won't be very far behind.
      I like Bitters and Ales mainly if I manage to get these dried and stored properly.
      Any idea what they might taste like.
      Suppose I really just answered my on own question just give them a tryout I have an exmoor Gold type recipe that is very simple

      I will be shoveling in soo much Green Bullet.
