      I have gotten almost all my process stuff from different posts on this board, the biabacus has been awesome and every time I think I'll tweak it I realize that it is right and I am wrong and I should have just done what it suggested. I'm pretty happy with my beers so far -- 4 of them total, all of them electric, biab, no chill. What I was hoping you guys could do is look at my process and see if there are things I could tweak out. My specific question is about aeration. I wouldn't say I'm lazy...

      Your step #7, I would leave your container out for 12-24 hours to cool down to ambient temp before putting it in the fridge. That is a big load on the fridge I would think.
      
      This is a complicated scenario.
      Yes there will be a large total BTU load to cool it, how that load is spread out (how long it will take) depends on the mass percentage it represents to already chilled mass in the unit.

      So I finished my second brew and it smells great, my converted chest freezer/fermentor control is now full. I'm making beer and am quite happy with it.
      
      That said. I think that my second brew has highlighted some areas that I'm screwing up. I have attached my filled out Biabacus file for the second brew -- a quick look should highlight deficiencies pretty quickly (for what it's worth this recipe is a recipe without integrity for Bell's Two Hearted Ale -- I did what I could to give it...

      It turns on, lights up, heats water, holds temperature ... the alarms might work (not sure I fully understand that part of the Auber PID logic...). So today is the big day --- first brew -- ebiab, no chill, ferment in cube is the plan. I have a slightly modified amarillo apa recipe from the biabacus that i'm using (not sure i fully understand the biabacus but i would like to learn the finer point whilst brewing beer). attaching 2 pics ... i think (?)

      Theres the report for posterity. All in all -- my lurking here set me up pretty well. And what a great report :clap:. Thanks FlipFlop, I really enjoyed that read ;). Things I wish I had known/done better:... I think any of those things that you have mentioned warrant a new thread and that BIABrewer now has enough brewers who could answer them very well :thumbs:.
