Cool, pretty sorted now then So can I not just dial in the hops AA from that listed on the packets - I thought the BIABacus looked at the percentage split of the hop bill then scaled against the AA manually input to achieve the target IBU? What advantage would a table in the book give, surely it doe...

Did you mean VIK or VIF?- can't see where to change VIKI? - I do want 23ltr 5 UK Gal too, this is what I normally make- or have I got confused again?
His books have the hops listed as weights not AA as these figs would vary - there is only the overall IBU fig they achieve?

Hi, I think I followed what you were saying? I changed setting to 75% in section x but this increased grain bill not decreased as you advised? As for the hops the AA figs are correct, I have however changed desired IBU to 40 instead of the original 30 Finally can you explain the Rolled Oats question...

Hi, I'm going for a Samuel Smiths Oatmeal Stout clone today, I've input the recipe into the sheet (attached) but would like it checking please? Hi,
I've input the recipe for an Adnams Explorer clone into the BIABacus however this recipe requires 205g of white sugar - I've added it into the grain section but I believe I need to make adjustments somewhere else?
Could someone give me a hand please?

Cheers both of you, think I will postpone to next weekend now and get properly prepared. So if I'm getting this right I can use this book as grain ratios will scale ok, its just the hops & colour that's hit and miss/guessing? Thanks for the replies but I'm now more confused :scratch: So is the file called American Pale Ale what I filled in originally with the 1.049 moved to the correct place or are there changes to grain bill/volumes? Mad_Scientist is suggesting changing value in Section D to 22.75L and 19L in Section B?...

Hi I checked the book and recipe was same as I input. What doesn't look right - is there not enough grain for final ABV 0f 4.6% or is there too much hops? There are no numbers for colour or bitterness of finished beer - the only clue is its a Pale Ale I would prefer to keep the alcohol to around the...
