Just a little update on the moldy bucket. I let it bottle condition for 2 weeks, then tried it, It is probly the best batch I have made to date. The wife just loves it.

Went ahead with bottleing, taste is good, there was no need to panic.
scrubed the bucket and lid real well, with PBW and let dry in the sun. that should take care the mold.

Thanks for the reply guys. Just to clear up a few things, the first week on the AC vent, was real AC, plus I had it in a big tub of water with a tee shirt, so it was an evap cooler also. I'm reasonably sure there is no problem as I sanitized with Idophore real well before filling the ferment bucket....

As the title says I have a light mold on my bucket lid, Haven't looked inside yet. I had it fermenting on top of an AC vent then moved it to a fridge, there was some mold on the side of the bucket at that time, I used some pbw and oxye clean. to remove it aqnd then used some star san. the fridge got...

Hey, I'm Arlo, new brewer, only three brews so far (kits). I live in Tucson, Az. Have a 16.5 gal barrel w/ top cut out. I like the idea of less equipment, and still being able to go all grain. I'll lurk here for a while and see what its all about.
