      This was my second attempt at BIAB. It was roughly based on Graham Wheeler's recipe only I used all pilsner malt. My first all grain got infected and I was a really gutted. I wasn't expecting so much with my second brew. I just thought if it's half decent I'll be happy. Well it's been sitting in the cellar for couple of weeks now so I thought I'd try one.       I doubt mine will last 5 weeks being Christmas but I will try and keep a few back, I'm looking forward to trying it, I will taste it when I bottle it to get some idea, roll on sunday :)

   2. First brew underway!

      Used the maxi-biab method. 19 litre stockpot and used the hop back summer lightning recipe in the GW book. Aiming for 23 litres at 1.049 ended up with 20.5 litres at 1.048. Chilled in bath of cold water and ice. Pitched pack of wyeast 1335. 5 days later and it's all trying to escape out of the airlock :? . Glad I've only got 20 litres in the fermenter otherwise it would have been messy!

      Thanks everybody. Certainly is addictive this brewing lark but space is the issue in our flat especially trying to keep things away from a toddler! Been looking at nice space in cellar for fv. Going to measure temperature down there and see if it's suitable for lager fermenting in winter :thumbs: .
