Standard sockets are 13a rated in the uk. However a 'ring main' as often found in Kitchens is 30a. All the circuits in our house are RCD protected.

I think I will end up buying a much larger bucket having read a but more into the technique. You can get 60l bins for £20....no brainier really :oops:.
