I have a microwave with a built in hood. There's not much clearance over the pot. Building a stand occurred to me a well. I am considering replacing that microwave anyway, because the vent doesn't do a very good job sucking up steam.

The kettle had 7 gallons of water in it. No way am I moving that.
But, you did give me an idea. If I can't bring the kettle to my level, maybe I can bring myself to the level of the kettle with a step stool.

I brew on the stovetop, so I don't have an option of setting up a pulley. Does anyone have tips of lifting the bag out?
