I have about 6 full volume BIAB batches under my belt. I have just stumbled upon step mashing for BIAB. Just curious what the general consensus is about BIAB step mashing. Is it done to improve efficiency? If I can pick up a few points I wouldn't mind doing it since it really does not change the ove...

Just the liquid. I imagine a bag sitting on top of something (cake rack/cooling rack) with the spigot underneath the bag pulling the wort form there and returning the wort to the top of the kettle. Hello all...John here from Douglassville, PA. I have been an AG brewer for about a year and finally decided to give BIAB a shot. My reason: I HATE CLEANING MY MASH TUN!!!!

I also like the simplicity which frees up a lot of time and equipment.

Anyway, just wanted to say Hi.
