      I'm taking the next step in Mini-BAIB with a DIY Kegerator.  My son returned from college and I immediately took possession of his unwanted magic chef mini refrigerator  2.6 cu ft.   I removed the door panel and replaced it with self adhesive 1/8 foil lined insulation and foil tape (mainly to clean up the edges).   I painted it black enamel to fit my apt living room decor.

      Magic Chef 2.2 cu in mini fridge I repossessed from my son's dorm room.  2.5 gal Torpedo Keg  (I have 2 of them, plus a 1 gal Cannonball min keg for small batches and travel).

      My first attempt an using BIABacus scaling down the Amarillo APA recipe to 1 gal into the primary.
      FWIW, I kept getting an error message using the template on Excel for Mac v 15.15. I was able to use an existing file from the site and zero's out the entries (I hope). One of my main concerns is that grain bill and hop bills were noticeable smaller than when I scaled down using the Calculator (water exceeded pot by a liter, grain bill was 1205v grams and hop bill was different).       Thank you mass scientist. I bottled today, full 10 bottles plus some flat beer for the cook. final gravity was 1.012 with an ABV of 5.4, close enough for me. No obvious off flavors and nice light amber color. Looking forward to opening bottle. Brewing an American Smoked Stout today

      A few quick questions. I made the Amarillio APA yesterday scaled to a 1 gal final volume (including trub). I brew in a 3 gal Target Tamale pot. The calculator scaled down to 9+ liters, but my pot maxes out at 8 liters/quarts. So I ended up 1 liter/quart short.
      
      1. The recipe calls for a 90 minute boil but hops don't get added until 30 minutes in to the boil? what is the benefit of a 90 minute boil without hops for the first 30 minutes? Why not just do a 60 Minute boil with less water, wouldn't...

      With lagers, and In Particular - Pilsners - a step mash has been quite helpful and as far as I'm concerned...highly recommended. And at least for my setup, a step mash is easy to do.
      
      3-step mash starts to become a bit of a pain... Most malts are fully modified but the Bohemian floor malted is not fully modified... Wonder if I can skip the protein rest...regardless of the malt not being fully modified? Seems like at least on one of my brews I did...and the beer was still good. Limited...
