Try putting a stainless steel bowl in the kettle when you're boiling. This lessens the surface area and will get it going.

Hey Joshua - The IBU and OG are in the top right of each recipe. The only thing it's missing is the AA and specific type of grains used although both of these things aren't such a big deal.

It's a great measurement to use when brewing as it allows you to balance the sweet malts with the bitter hops. Have a read of this article.
