Hey I like that idea of using the tool box but being that this is the type of work I do for a living I had a lot of stuff laying around work to make it happen. The box was free as well as several of the internals. Good luck on your build.

Hey Mate, Very noice. Thanks for posting this thread it is almost excactly the system I'm piecing together at the moment, using 3.6kw element wired to temp control thermo. How does the 5.5kw element go? is it too much. Do you have a false bottom to keep bag off the element? I love that counter flow...

Here is my system. Done several BIABs on it already. I can set the control to the mash temp I desire and recirculate through the pump and maintain the temps within 1-2 degrees. Gibbo, I don't use any rack or grate to keep the bag off the bottom. I use a bungee cord. see here http://www.stempski.com/biab.php It also helps to keep the mash at a adjustable depth. Hola from frozen Lexington KY. Been brewing about a year switched to all electric keggle system for all grain now setting up for my first BIAB came across this site in my search for knowledge. Thanks for all the great info!
