I need a lid :-)

Post #1 made 12 years ago
My 1st BIAB is getting closer, the element is fitted into my pot I just need to fit the cable and if all goes well I'll have a bag made Sat/Sun.

I got the pot ~ 38L Aluminium very cheep but with no lid, what's the best way to make one? If I buy an aluminium disk (pizza separator) it will be half the cost of the pot!

So what works?

Many Thanks. Aamcle

Piece of stiff cardboard and throw a blanket over it. For my keggle setup I didn't even use the cardboard...I just threw a blanket over the top of it. No need for nothing fancy!

If can fins a thin piece of stainless steel, or 3mm plate aluminum it will act like a lid, when Mashing/Boiling.

I know....No lid when Boiling!!!!!!
