Romanian Homebrewers?

Post #1 made 4 years ago
Hey my central European brew buddies,
I currently live in the US but relocating to my wife's home of Bucharest is seeming more and more like a possibility. I'm wondering what the homebrew scene is like there. Are there local shops is it easy to get ingredients, what is there for readily available equipment? Answers for Hungary or Bulgaria are relevant as well. Any and all information is welcomed. I thank you in advance. Mulțumim.

If the situation with homebrewing equipment in Romania is comparable to the one in Russia, then it's super rare. You may find some items there and there, but it'll be quite the adventure anyways. However, Romania is a member of the EU, so you can order stuff from Germany, Belgium etc with lower shipping prices and no customs fees.
