Hi,
My name is Will, I live in Bristol, England. Done a few kits (with mixed results) and just started doing some all grain batches using BIAB. Works really well for me so far and looking forward to getting to learn more.
Read a few posts on your site and looks packed full of info.

Cheers, I'm off to see if my chocolate and nutmeg imperial stout is still bubbling away...

Hi All,

I'm Robert, from Antioch CA, USA. I'm a programmer/analyst by day and love to relax with a cold one. My wife got me a two-tap kegerator for our 20th anniversary, and it was not long before I decided to start a new hobby.

BAIB seems just right for me. After an experimental extract brew, I built a keggle and am getting ready for my third BIAB batch. This will be the second run of "Summer Ale", just for the wife who is a big Blue Moon fan (low IBU, good body and flavor). Last one was gone in a week. So sad. Maybe she shouldn't announce "come try the beer" on Facebook??

Thanks all for your great wisdom! Looking forward to participating.

-Robert

Hey all!
I'm originally from Florida USA, currently Living in Minneapolis Minnesota USA. Started brewing in jan 2015 with small extract kits and thought it was too much trouble for such a small yield, also wanted better, and more creative beer, so I jumped into all grain with BIAB. Made the Mose sense for my small apartment. The site is great and full of helpful useful knowledge for a newbie.

Hello everyone. I first brewed my own beer about 20 years ago (just extract based ales), but ended up stopping a short time later. I was just drinking more soda than beer and it would take me forever to drink 5 gallons of beer. I still drink a lot soda, but I'm looking to get back into the hobby and would like to try BIAB with gallon batches. I tend to like the maltier style beers -- red ales, milds, marzens, etc. I also like the sweet/tart lambics (it's the soda thing again). Plus, I'll try anything once -- if Russian River made a beer called Defecation that they said tasted like crap, I'd probably shell out $10 to try it. Anyway, I'm looking forward to getting started.

Welcome Daithi. Soda makes you fat, beer makes you fat and drunk.....I'm going with beer. As to the sours and lambics: hell yeah! (my favorites)

Hi all, I haven't brewed for about 20 years but my new 15 gallon pot arrived yesterday and I'm anxious to BIAB soon! I'm from North Carolina. I sure appreciate all the great information and kind people I find here.

Howdy there all,

I'm from Texas, East of DFW.
I found this site from a post on homebrewtalk.com
I am excited to push the boundaries of BIAB with information and experience I hope to learn here.
I am new to brewing, I have 1 extract APA that turned out great, bottled my first AG BIAB today (a Strawberry Blonde Ale), and have a AG BIAG in the fermenter (Scottish 60 Shilling).
I work full time as a Surgical Tech in a local hospital and am attending Seminary.
Married with 4 sons.

Welcome 4arrows and hawkeye. North Carolina has great water for making beer, especially near Asheville. Texas is home to some good brews, too. Get into the BIABacus (check Joshua's post a few above yours here on this page) and see what it can suggest, then keep good notes and you will get good beer. It's (almost) that simple. Take it step-by-step and ask questions, you will get answers.

Thanks ShorePoints. We have well water at our home. I tested it the other day and the ph is 6.5. Do you happen to know if that good for mashing? Also, I looked at the BIABacus ... Lookd great and I think it's going to take study to figure out.

Hello there,

Fantastic site! All info I need to convert to BIAB. I came across biabrewer in the podcast from Beersmith.

I am fairly new to brewing and feel like BIAB is the way to go to be able to save some time in your brewing.

I prefer ales of all kind and will try the recipe presented in the mini-BIAB guide. Great guide, by the way

Greetings from Sweden

Hello everyone!

I'm a new brewer looking to move forward from all-extract brewing. I heard about this site on an old Basic Brewing Radio podcast and it seemed like a very good source for BIAB-brewing info. Since I live in an apartment BIAB seems the way to go when moving on to all-grain.

I'm from Stockholm, Sweden and as the winter nears, I'l have alot more time to brew. Time to ditch that extract!

Looking forward to learning all I can about BIAB from you guys!

Cheers! :)

Hi all,

My name is Bri and I'm from Swindon in the UK. I have been brewing for just aver a year now, starting with a couple of kits then moving on to extract brewing. Discovered this site researching the next step of moving onto all grain and deciding that BIAB is the way for me.
I have my bag and my pot ready and I am planning my first BIAB this weekend - I am aiming for an hoppy pale ale similar to punk IPA. I have tried this with extract and got very drinkable results so thought this could be a good one to start with.
Lots of great info on the site and I'm looking forward to learning a lot more about BIAB

Cheers!
