Potato Masher

What do you think of this masher?, it's the biggest and longest I can find. I am trying to get one bigger than Aces High

You can also use it for other things, like mashing potatoes.

That's a goodie for sure!

Having the wire pattern or a hatched pattern is important as that combined with the up and down motion creates a heap of vortices that not only break up any dough balls but also 'blend' the grist with the water.

Aces High is a neighbour of mine. I hope you haven't started a war!

bring on the masher war

I gotta say its so much easier to mash in with this compared to a standard mash paddle. Especially when doing 10+ kilo mash ins, the up down motion is just easier and more efficient

Looks like the one that's sold in our LHBS. Mine is like that.. about 18" long with a wooden handle. Works just fine

I just ordered this one, it has a length of 31" (79 cm)...

It worked great for me. I also think I got solid gravity readings from the up and down motion, instead of circular.
