Good Day Gridiron_Gang, Welcome to the Forum.

BIAB is the way to brew All-Grain with Only ONE vessel, (or 2 if you want).

Your brew day will be more easy and faster than 3 vessel brewing.

Look over the Site and If you have any questions, let us know!

Hi all

My name is paul, I am from boronia in Victoria.
I gave been brewing kits & bits and extract brews for about 3 years.I picked up a25 litre birko for $ 20 a while ago and made the leap to my first AG doing a small 10 litre batch of a scottish ale aged on bourbon soaked oak chips.

This was my best brew yet, a few mistakes/learnings made, but I am regretting making such a small batch (its nearly all drunk already)

Tonight I will be doing a smoky choc porter, doing a full 23 litre.

My son its having his engagement party in july and has asked me to brew all the beer, so I willbe doing six batches over the coming weeks.

I am 44, 5 kids almost all grown up and 2pm grandkids.

Cheers
Paul (pmcm1968)

Hi All,

My name is Kerry and I'm from Wellington, NZ - I started brewing in Feb. of this year with a Coopers kit bought on a whim and haven't looked back! after cracking my first ever batch and loving it I thought to myself "why has it taken me 39yrs to discover this?!" so yeah I'm hooked!

After doing 2 more kits from a can I thought that all grain was the next and inevitable step and so went with BIAB due to it's simplicity - and I'm so glad that I did! two brews down with another in the pipeline for this weekend and it's all good.

Lots to learn still but am looking forward to the challenge (and of course drinking!) ahead.

Cheers!

Greetings all!

My name is Brent and I'm from Northern Colorado, USA. I started brewing a couple of months ago and have gone crazy with the hobby! I spend countless hours reading forum posts & books, watching youtube videos, listening to various podcasts, etc. I've brewed six batches using extract (or extract w/specialty grains), and one partial mash batch last week.

I've learned about this site and the BIAB process through homebrewtalk, The Brewing Network and Basic Brewing Radio. After the rather complex process that was Partial Mash, I'm excited to attempt my first BIAB soon!

Cheers,

WheresTheYeast

Hey all,
My name is Jamie and I am from Port Orchard, WA (Washington State that is!). So far I have brewed two extract batches, which turned out just fine. Over on HBT, I have read many times about people recommending to join this site if your ever interested in BIAB. Well here I am! Excited to start learning about BIAB and hopefully soon I will be BIAB! On a different note, those of you from down under, you guys have such an awesome and beautiful country. I got the chance to go to Australia and New Zealand in high school and have wanted to go back ever since!

Cheers, Tubbster

Hello fellow brewers. I'm from Adelaide Australia and have only very recently got into All-Grain BIAB. I've moved straight from zero to all-grain skipping extract entirely. Actual professional brewers have told that they've had BIAB beers that tasted as good as proper full-mash beers. So the low cost of equipment to start out enticed me to start BIAB. My first couple batches were ruined mainly due to me starting in early autumn when it was still very hot and my brews fermented in the high 20s. I learned my lesson and have since installed a digital temp controller in a spare fridge. I'm still yet to brew a decent batch, which is why I joined the forum - so I can get advice on my brews.

Good Day Polbrew, Welcome to the Forum!

You are correct. BIAB can make the best beer there is!

We should be able to help you, if you can tell what your problems are, and how you brew.

If you can tell us your recipes, temperatures, times and specific gravities, many here can really help find your troubles!

Good Luck.

Hello everyone!

1. Where are you from?

I'm originally from Massachusetts, but my current job has me moving all over fairly frequently. I'm currently residing in Maryland, but will soon be making the trek north to Edmonton Alberta.

2. How did you stumble across the site?

I first learned of BIAB via homebrewtalk, which I regularly frequent. There was some good information and posts on that site, but after reading numerous threads that pointed me over to this site, I decided to take the plunge. I'm not sure exactly what being a member of two home brewing forums will do for my productivity, only time will tell...

3. What you think of it so far?

So far so good! After lurking for awhile it seems like there is a wealth of good reliable information here.

4. Have you brewed at all before. If so, for how long and what method are you currently using?

Yes, I've been brewing for about 4 years. Like most people, not as often as I would like. Up until recently I have been doing extract and partial mashes, mainly due to limited space and moving for work. I've brewed a few all grain batches with my friends using a 2 and 3 vessel system, but wasn't sure if I could devote the space required for all the equipment. I'm really excited that BIAB won't require very much more equipment than I already have.

5. Do you work? Are you retired or maybe you run a household?

I work in the construction industry, which means that I move fairly often. As such, having tons and tons of large brewing equipment is definitely not a good thing in my book. I'm very excited to get brewing with BIAB.

Good Luck !!

skunkguts, Welcome to the Forum.

BIAB is the easiest and most cost efficient way to brew beer. It's as easy as pie and just as tasty. If you have questions ask them!
tap 1 Raspberry wine
tap 2 Bourbon Barrel Porter
tap 3 Czech Pilsner
tap 4 Triple IPA 11% ABV

Pipeline: Mulled Cider 10% ABV

1. Where are you from? Washington State - USA

2. How did you stumble across the site? Browsing other beer brewing forums/sites and found this site

3. What you think of it so far? Looks good! I've got to get a bag!

4. Have you brewed at all before. If so, for how long and what method are you currently using?
Brewed some extracts and now partial extracts with specialty grains steeped in strainer bags. Brewing for about 1/2 year now.

5. Do you work? Are you retired or maybe you run a household? Always working, so BIAB looks very time saving compared to full mash setups.

Where to start, I guess I'll answer the standard questions.

1. Where are you from? - I'm From Washington, DC
2. How did you stumble across the site? - Through the Home Brew Network Forums
3. What you think of it so far? - Site looks great, I'm looking forward to making my first BIAB brew
4. Have you brewed at all before. If so, for how long and what method are you currently using? - I started brewing 20 years ago in college, graduated and stopped and picked it up again about 1 1.2 years ago (wife's Christmas present) and I've been a full bore extract brew (30+ batches) for the past 18 months. I'm now interested to try All Grain brewing, but have been put off by the equipment needed and what seemed to be unnecessary complexity. I am a big fan of the no-chill methods, which I have used for 6+ batches now.
5. Do you work? Are you retired or maybe you run a household? I'm a Management Consultant.

Looking forward to reading more.

-John
