Apology for strings of posts!

Post #1 made 15 years ago
Hi there guys,

I'd just like to apologise for my high post count here and often consecutive string of posts.

I often work long days doing mindless stuff and so unwinding every few days answering a few questions here etc is enjoyable for me. The forum is young though so when I do this and then click on "View New Posts" all I see is my name five times in a row!

I've been BIABrewing for a while now so I do have a few answers. I just hope you guys aren't getting sick of me constantly throwing my opinion in.

Is anyone else reluctant to do consecutive posts?

Anyway, I am off to do a few more :),

LOL SS,

I do ramble a bit but I find BIAB fascinating. Just wrote a post here.

It's a damn good way to brew and, as a generalisation, I find BIABrewer's (forum-wise at least) to be the most sensible and interesting brewers to talk to. In real life, I have a a lot of good three-vessell mates that love BIAB but won't convert because of the amount of time they have been brewing etc. These are real mates though and always teach me heaps.

We'll get 'em one day!
:D

what the heck is going on? Is there a Aussie holiday today? I will have to take a shorter nap today because I have to keep up with all the information being passed about. I am been busy drinking my beer the last couple of months and not brewing! You all have shamed me into brewing. Tomorrow is brew day! Pumpkin ale and then another Black IPA the next day is Maibock and Oktoberfest.
tap 1 Raspberry wine
tap 2 Bourbon Barrel Porter
tap 3 Czech Pilsner
tap 4 Triple IPA 11% ABV

Pipeline: Mulled Cider 10% ABV

Never get tired of your posts PP, keep it up.

Bob, shame on you :P joking. I find it's good sometimes to have a lot of empty kegs, because that means I get to do lots of brewing :)

LOL you idiots :D!

I feel better now though especially as last night I saw BobBrews had a string as well. He wrote that he'd had a few beers. I never do strings of posts after a few beers ;). Good on ya Bob!

Think I might get my ramble over now before I start looking at the other new posts/threads here. Just wanted to say thanks to you...

Eoin: Thanks for your posts. All are top quality! Good news on the new BIAB forum on Jim's. You have been a real ambassador there :salute:
BrickBrewhaus: Been really enjoying your posts, questions and contributions here - please do more!
hashie: Great to have one of the original BIABrewers on board who still so actively contributes and encourages us all. He's looked after me for years ;).
Ralph: Your post count is way too high - you should be banned but your enthusiasm and the fact that you are the mini and maxi BIAB king will probably prevent this ever happening ... ;)
sigurdur: Have been really enjoying seeing your first BIAB thread. Experienced all-grain brewers like you who not only have the willingness to explore BIAB but then actually try it, really impress me. Trusting you truly bagged your first one :).
wizard78: Dunno how you do it wiz but since this forum started, you always seem to come up with the best answers or encouragement in two or three sentences. I won't even mention the SS auto-syphon. You are de man!
2XC: A member for less than a month and already some of the most interesting posts/threads. Can't believe you came up with, "Great beer.... It's in the bag!" so quickly. That has been thought about for ages - lol and ???
widdley: Can't tell you how much I enjoy reading your posts. Great advice tempered with excellent comedy. Please do at least 10 posts a day :).

I've already mentioned SacSoul and BobBrews previously but seeing as I have turned this into a, "thanks for," ramble, here you two go :).....

SacSoul: You have been doing intelligent and informative posts here since the day you joined. I always read your posts but can hardly ever respond as your recipe and beer description skills are something that I might catch up to you in about 20 years .
BobBrews: You've brewed all-grain traditionally for years and now are a BIAB enthusiast. Bob, I love the way you pass your pleasure in the method onto others.*

That's passion! All you guys seem to have it.

Thanks,
PP

* I personally have also done this with all my old girlfriends though this wasn't with BIAB. Hardly any of them ever got an infection ;).

How about..
Paul Revere's Ride
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Listen my children and you shall hear
Of the midnight ride of Paul Revere,
On the eighteenth of April, in Seventy-five;
Hardly a man is now alive
Who remembers that famous day and year.

He said to his friend, "If the British march
By land or sea from the town to-night,
Hang a lantern aloft in the belfry arch
Of the North Church tower as a signal light,--
One if by land, and two if by sea;
And I on the opposite shore will be,
Ready to ride and spread the alarm
Through every Middlesex village and farm,
For the country folk to be up and to arm."

Sorry for the delayed response - I've had to do a few 12-14 hour days. Just finished another one .

Thanks Bob and 2XC - now I get it!

Widdley - still not enough posts - get a new employer

Bloggy Bit...

I think I might change the title of this thread (love the way you can do this on this forum by editing the subject of your first post  ) as it might just become a general apology thread!

Tonight's apology is...

I have been unable to keep up to date here lately. I have tried to read everything I should have but am sure I have missed stuff. I am also very sure there are a few threads where someone specifically asked me a question or made a comment that I should have replied to but haven't. I always hate it when I ask someone a question on a forum and they don't reply so if I have subjected you to this, my apologies. Please send me a PM if I have done this and I'll correct it.

For now, I'm just going to relax, have a home brew, have bit of a read here and hopefully not start writing a string of posts and compound this problem

Tomorrow will tell whether I am successful :smoke:
