2 pot screamer. Has any one tried them?

Hi all,
im fairly new to brewing but id still like to get into AG. Im gonna try my 19lt pot to start but im still looking at other setups. G&G here in Melbourne sell a "2 pot screamer" kit.

http://www.grainandgrape.com.au/product ... G+2+POT+SC

It comes with a 50lt large pot, and inner (malt pipe) pot with small legs and holes in the bottom to act as a false bottom. An electric element, tap and a trivet.
I guess its like a very basic electric BIAB, or Braumeister idea. Has anyone used one? Do you still use a bag in the inner pot? I have been looking at cheaper options like a bigger pot or 48lt urn on Ebay for $125 but the 2 pot is all set up for $400. I still have a lot to learn and money to save but in the mean time im looking at the options. I like the idea of electric so I can take it onto the garage.

Cheers,

Yeah something like that I think. I guess you have the option of no spare like biab though.

Hey Nosco, I saw the very same thing in G&G before deciding on going with the Crown Urn set up. They sell them with spigot tap for around the $280 mark. I'm five brews in and couldn't be happier. The guys at G&G even recommended the Urn as preferred BIAB set up.

Cheers,

I think I like the sound of that too thanks Lee, and the price. Did you go with concealed or exposed element?

Nosco.

I ended up getting a 65lt SS pot and put a 5500w element in it using a brew bag. 3 brews in and it working fine

I love it less to clean up @ end. I use a 19L pot to drain grain then and into brew. Sometimes I run off a few liters till its running clear pull grain and away brewing.
