No, that's fine Lylo and a good question.
I wrote the calculator quite a few years ago and had hoped it would disappear quite quickly. Trying to make it disappear has turned into a major exercise

.
I'm working on a temporary fix to the calculator now as I can't bear to see it up there for another 6 months

.
As to your question...
The Grain bill section of the calculator only needs to look at four things, percentages of grains used, the original gravity you want to achieve, your efficiency and your end of boil volume.
The only common ground on the grain bill is the percentage of each grain used and the original gravity. So, if the original recipe had a 70% Efficiency into Kettle (EIK) and say 23 litres End of Boil Volume (EOBV) compared to your 85% EIK and 28 litres EOBV, there will be a large discrepancy in the grain bill.
Hops get more complicated

.
Converting recipes well isn't easy at present. (The BIABAcus is going to make it very easy but lots of complicated programming has to be written.) So, Lylo, always feel free to use
this thread to check a recipe or convert it. The BIABacus team keep a close eye on it as every question asked there is one they hope to save being having to asked later.
Not an easy brief!
