Off topic, but the automated system that Pistol Patch is referring to is the subject of a huge thread on another forum. Currently they are grappling with the following:
Wow, scary stuff - I'm glad I only have to worry about whether my bag springs a leak
Edit: the really scary thing is that I don't understand a word of their posts.

LOL BB!
I actually really enjoy reading what these guys are up to and what the mate I mentioned above is up to. Like you, I can't understand computer code etc and I have never seen a good automated system yet that doesn't have a hundred problems still to be solved except maybe the Braumeister which I have never seen, only heard of.
In fact, the Braumeister is the only automated system I have heard of that is successful and this is a full-volume method like BIAB!
Whilst I love seeing the thinking that goes into things like the above, my own personal preference is working out ways to make brewing easier/simpler. BIAB does this as does the Braumeister. (I have no idea what the Braumeister is like to clean and sanitise though.) Now that we have successful full-volume brewing such as BIAB, my real interest is on working out better ways of cleaning and sanitising. For me this area is the "global warming" problem of brewing. It's the hardest problem to solve, it involves the most waste of time and effort (read "energy") and one that pisses most of us brewers off!

P.S. WHOOPS! Just read the title of this thread! hashie please excuse Beachbum for taking your thread way off-topic. It was his fault .
