Hi all,
I am from Perth in Western Australia. I found this site on the aussiehomebrewer forum.
Many years ago, in my student days, I brewed from kit beers with a small modicum of success. Of recent times I have again taken up the kit brews but, although they are drinkable, they are nothing startling.
I am looking forward to a 'WOW' brewing experience.

I'm an Aussie from the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. I've been brewing for a while doing mainly Kits but that is changing as I have more time on my hands and learnt about BIAB. I'm now doing partial mashes with a view to doing AG when I run out of extract. I found the site through another forum.

Hello from Dorset, England.
I passed through the kit beer stage after one (reasonable) attempt on to full AG brewing for variety and fun.
My interest is in small quantities (say 10 - 14 ltrs) at a time - I like the idea of lots of variety of beer styles in the garage. Not to mention being a bit boring and not drinking a huge amount! I've struggled to get a good mash tun for this brew length as a smaller vessel loses relatively more heat than larger batch sizes.
So I reckon BIAB might just be perfect! The info on the site is terrific and much appreciated, thanks. I look forward to joining the ranks!
Cheers

Greetings beer brewers (and occasional drinkers I assume...)
I'm a antipodean (dark continent, choking type - cricket people will understand!) staying in Scotland, just north of Edinburgh. I've done a couple (10 or so) kits and one extract brew but I've felt the urge (and gave into it!) to "tweak" each of these brews. The results were mixed, but none of the brews were undrinkable! After researching the extract and AG brewing lark I've realised that BIAB is what I need to do. I cant wait to get stuck into my first BIAB brew - it will be a mini BIAB due to the size of pot available (17 L).

Hey Everyone. I'm from Northern Virginia in the United States and I only started homebrewing in the past year, primarily extract with specialty grains. While I definitely enjoy extract brewing I would like to have more control over my entire process and the ingredients. I heard about the BIAB method while surfing various forums as well as talking to some friends who are huge proponents of it and came across your forum. While I haven't tried BIAB yet I'm planning on using it for my next batch this month. Thanks!

Hello all! This is my first post here,as I am just getting into biab.Ive been doing ag using the batch sparge method and have had pretty good luck, but biab seems so much more simple and uses less equipment,so I wanna give it a go!
Im from the U.S. Indiana. Ive been brewing for about 3 yrs. and started out doing extract, then moved up to ag.I have all the stuff I need to biab, and found this forum when I was looking for more info. on the do's and dont's of biab.Seems like a great method!
I cant wait to do my first batch, prob. in a week or so,and plan on being a regular here.I am a member on several other homebrew forums also.I believe you cant get enough info.,and the forums are a great way to learn the in's and out's from others.
So,cheers brothers!

Hello from Upstate NY (Rochester). Been AG brewing with the standard converted cooler MLT for over a year now, utilizing BIAB for smaller 3 gallon test batches. Looking to expand into full size (5 gallon +) BIAB in the interest of shortening my brew day and reducing cleanup time.

Hello!
Registering from sunny Southern California.
I stumbled across this site after hearing some members at HomeBrewTalk discussing the BIAB site. And what do I think so far? Well, the technique seems pretty straightforward, especially compared to the wide variety of 3 vessel systems. It's pretty appealing to me because I have a limited budget to get started, but still want to buy some equipment that will last a while. up to this point I've done a few AG, one-gallon batches on my electric stovetop. It's not too bad, but for the same amount time I'd like to make more than 8 12oz bottles.
Numero cinco - I work from home and co-run a web and mobile app company. It's a lot of fund and hard work, but totally makes my brew that much more enjoyable.

Hi all. My name is Viðar and I'm from Hafnarfjörður, Iceland. I can't remember how I stumbled across this site - probably just googling for BIAB. So far so good - same as with my brewing experience. I have made 7 batches so far - last 4 of them BIAB and they keep getting better and I think I make fewer mistakes each time.

Hello to fellow brewers, from the flat(ish) lands that are East Anglia.
I started kit brewing again at Christmas after a twenty or so year break. I have produced two very good brews and am about to embark on my third. However, I find brewing from a kit, however drinkable the beer is, a rather soulless process, so I'm planning a move to all-grain. BiaB seems like a sensible first step in this direction, as the kit is rather more spouse friendly
So I'm doing my research in preparation for my first go in three or four weeks when my FV will be free again.
Lots to learn
Paul

G'day All,
My name is Allan, and I'm a beeraholic. Drinking beer is HONESTLY my hobby, I've had over 600 different beers and counting..
1. Where are you from?
Melbourne, Australia
2. How did you stumble across the site?
Aussie Home Brewers forum
3. What you think of it so far?
Lots of helpful Info, without all the other stuff thrown in on other homebrew sites
4. Have you brewed at all before. If so, for how long and what method are you currently using?
Yes, using wort cans and chucking a bit extra in... Havent for about 7 years, but gotten bitten by the bug again
5. Do you work? Are you retired or maybe you run a household?
I'm an SOE developer.. Or in Laymans terms.. I do IT

Hey Folks,
I am from Alberta, Canada.
I was listening to a podcast on the brewers network about "brew in a bag" and then did some web surfing and eventually stumbled on to this forum.
Site looks interesting and there is a wealth of information.
I have been brewing on and off for several years but had never made the leap to all grain due to time, equipment etc. I am in the middle of putting together a BIAB kit and looking forward to brewing...

Hi from Tassie!
I've done maybe a dozen extract brews and have been toying with the idea of AG for a while. I'm about to take the plunge with BIAB. Can't wait.

Hello from Perth. Been extract brewing in the Western US for the last 5 years - just returned home and finally have the space and time to get a little more adventurous with all grain. BIAB sounds like it is right up my alley.
Look forward to learning from you all and contributing to this great resource.
Cheers, Sambo

I guess I too should introduce myself....
Hi, my name's Ken and I'm a homebrewer. Well I think it would be safe to say that I'm TRYING to be a homebrewer...haven't had any success yet, but I have learned a lot from my mistakes Anyway I just started homebrewing this year in my basement, but have had plenty of experience at BOPs and I have read plenty of brewing wikis, books, and visited homebrew talk plenty. I took part in the recent bulk grain buy and I look forward to brewing every week now that I'm 'stocked up'. I've started with a no frills BIAB setup that I MacGyvered together, with plans to go into kegging by 2012.

Hey all. I'm from Massachusetts in the US of A. I got into brewing a few months ago and would like to make the jump to BIAB soon. This site seems to be the Go To resources so here I am. I first joined HBT and since then have seen many references here. Looking forward to getting full registration privileges. Spammers suck!

Hi people,
Registering in Hawkes Bay, New Zealand after following a link from our local home brew forum RealBeer. It looks like there will be plenty of good stuff in here. Just having a quick look at how the calculator works and I can see it will be a great tool!
Looking forward to learning more so when I have my gear sorted I know where I am heading.
Cheers

Hello from Longmont, CO, US
Interested in trying out the BIAB method for my next brew. I've done partial mash with a small bag and igloo cooler. I love the simplicity of this method - in time, equipment and cleanup! I'll be trying it on my first AG.
