Greetings from South Dakota, US
I am loving the site so far, heard about it from a Basic Brewing Radio podcast:
http://www.basicbrewing.com/index.php?page=radio the April 24 2014 episode.
I have never actually done a BIAB batch but in 2011 when I started this method was unheard of in the US.
I am an Accountant by day.

Hello my brewing friends. I'm from Slovenia, love this site, came across it, while searching on the net for BIAB info.
I've been brewing extract kits for about a year, last month I did my first BIAB (tried to do an English pub ale), can't wait to do the next one (probably in about a week).
I work in a hotel as a MOD.

Welcome Drawdy10
You'll love this method of brewing, it really is as easy as it gets! And the podcast was a great introduction to this forum and BIAB in general. There's lots of good, accurate information here so jump in and have some fun!

Salutations!
My name is Brandon and I'm an engineer in the SF Bay Area.
I'm a new brewer with 2 extract notches on my belt. I found out about BIAB while reading threads on homebrew talk and found this sight via google search of BIAB. The new terminology and calculations for BIAB are a bit overwhelming as a budding brewer but I think my next batch will involve a partial mash in a bag!
Looking froward to brewing with you all.
Cheers!

Welcome Mr Crisp
,
The site is in a funny stage where we have developed some great stuff but we still have to present this great stuff in an easy manner. Until that occurs, just ask questions.
Most of the terminology is easy/intuitive such as VIF - Volume into Fermentor. Anything that is not intuitive are often tricky but important terms that are side-stepped on other sites and in other programs. VAW - Volume of Ambient Wort is one of these tricky ones. It's the most important volume term when it comes to recipe communication but this 'end of boil volume once cooled'
number is only honoured here on BIABrewer.
As for the BIABacus, don't be scared by it. Just take it slowly, don't take it all in at once and ask questions. All you need to learn when starting out is the Main Design /Scaling section...

Hello from Norfolk in England!
I've been a keen home brewer for many years, I actually started brewing with BIAB when I upgraded from kits using the methods described by David Line in his book 'Brewing Beers Like Those You Buy'
I quickly moved onto using a mash tun and really enjoy the hobby and of course the beer but I find the brew days long and I'm absolutely knackered by the end. I listened to the BIAB podcast on Basic Brewing and thought 'this could be for me!' So I've bought a big grain bag and I'm going to give it a go next week.
I'll need some help from the forum but I'm looking forward to seeing how it goes.
Cheers!

Hi everyone,
I am new to BIAB, I have 3 extracts under my belt, and was thinking that this would be a great wait to get into all grain, and keep my equipment costs down.
My name is Rick, and I live in Chicago, IL
I am looking forward to being a part of this site.

HI Yall,
My name is Tom, I'm from South Florida. I have been brewing Mead and extract brews for a bit now but have never done any full grain. I'm lost and confused but hopefully I catch on quickly.

My names Jube from Hungary...have brewed a few long days of 3 vessel brewing. E.g. last week brewed 70 litres starting in morning and finished at midnight. Looking to biab to shorten times and prove to my friend that it is also possible to brew a perfectly drinkable beer without spending half the night doing so.
Been sort of interested in biab for a while but last week listened to basic brewing which answered a few questions I had.
I'm not used to forums and can't understand how to start a new thread...I can only reply. Any ideas?

Hi I live in Greece now. I moved here from the UK some years ago. I used to do all grain with 3 vessels and even moved my gear to Greece with me. Trouble was I found it too time consuming. I've now discovered BIAB and also got my hands. On an old keg. So here goes.

Juno_Malone, DrIreland, DaveSeattle,
Welcome to the forum and the BIAB global community! It's good to have you here.
As you will all find out, BIAB is suitable for all levels of brewing experience so jump in and have some fun. The beer is great and the company's not so bad!
Read, ask questions but most importantly, brew.

Hello Pablobattu and Welcome to both of you!
This is the place to be to learn. Great group of folks here and their knowledge is out of this world.

I'm pretty sure you won't beat extract for time efficiency, but you're gonna love the beer you make with BIAB!
