Hi all,
Just started brewing here in Sacramento a couple months ago. Started with a couple extract recipes and have recently decided to jump feet first into BIAB. Brewed up my BIAB last night and can't wait to see the results. Looking forward to tapping into the wealth of knowledge I've been reading through here on the boards.
Cheers
Nick

Hello everyone,
Lots of great info here. I've been brewing for many years using the standard 3v method and have begun to be interested in mini brews. I thing BIAB would make a good fit for me. I live and work in San Diego, California and hope to put all the great advice here to good use.
Thanks,
Franz

Ftea,
Welcome, BIAB is a good fit for anyone. Very little storage requirements, one vessel, one bag and a heat source. The beer produced comes out first rate. Nothing wrong except it took us to long to develop this type of brewing!

Hello everyone!
Glad to be a member of this very helpful website. I live in Tucson, AZ and am new to the hobby and have done 3 extract kits so far, each of which turned out better than I ever imagined (noob beer lust
).
I'm ready to make the step up to BIAB and my 60 qt pot arrived the other day so I could do full boil 5gal batches.
I'm currently scoping out a Belgian Strong Ale AG recipe and have been messing with it in BIABacus. Being a noob, I'd really like somebody to scrub my sheet if possible, I'll post it in the appropriate thread soon.
Thanks!!!
Bill

Hi. First post. I live in Springfield, VA. Started brewing about a year ago, as I now have the time since I'm retired. I've done 3 batches so far, with not great results. First was Irish red ale that I bottled. Had a couple of bottle bombs, and the rest never carbonated fully. Tasted good though. Second and third batches came out funky because my fermentation temp was too high. Kegged those. Yesterday I did my first BIAB, a double hop IPA. I used trial copy of beersmith as I just found your site today. I can't seem to find the BIABacus. Maybe because I'm on my iPad. I'll login on my PC later. Looking forward to learning from more experience brewers. Thanks

Phredt,
Welcome! Good luck on your latest brew. Mixing corn sugar in "completely!" will eliminate various bottle bombs and flat beers. BIABacus is the best (by Far) brewing software and it's "free!". Ask a question in the appropriate area (not here) and we will help!

Hi All,
I am brand new to brewing and live in Western New York in the United States. I came across this site will researching brewing, recipes and such and stumbled upon the BIAB acronym. I had no idea what it meant so to google I went and it opened up a whole new world to me. I have brewed one beer so far using an extract but I am looking forward to using BIAB instead. It was great to find an inexpensive way to brew with all grain with equipment that I already acquired.
I look forward to learning more from this site. This place looks like a great resource of information.
Regards,
Mike

Phredt:
The most recent version of the BIABacus is found attached here. You will need a copy of LibreOffice or Excel to open the file. (I believe the other forks of LibreOffice work as well).
Haven't done a batch yet, but I'm just around the beltway from you in Germantown, MD.

Hi,
I'm from New Zealand, currently done 5 extract with specialty grain brews all of which so far seem to be well received. This weekend I'm doing my first BIAB. I'm going to do an English Pale Ale.
Cheers,
Dom

Hi there,
I live in British Columbia, and am a stay at home mom to two young children. I have brewed partial mash kits in the past, but am looking to move to BIAB. I am glad to have found this site!

batutex, dom, zobot,
Welcome to the site. BIAB is the answer to your dreams. Well, it was for me anyway? BIAB is inexpensive, quick, with a lot less work than other brewing methods. Good beer is the icing on the cake!

Hello,
I live in Sweden with wife and a daughter. I have brewed a lot of extract beers earlier (700-800 liters) and have looked at BIAB for several years. I'm now ready to take the step and try BIAB for the first time
The site seems to contain all information that I would need but I have not yet found a good guide how I can input a recipe into the BIABacus sheet and then do the conversion for my equipment which is why my next post will be in the "convert my recipe thread"
,Olle

i have one brew day under my belt. skipped the extract stuff & went straight to all grain with the assistance of a friend. he suggested BIAB to save on the start up cost. having a family, i like the time saving advantage as well. started with a simple wheat recipe & the results were decent. too much sugar in the bottom of the bottles, so i need to throw out the 5 gallon paint strainer bag. on to using voile & brewing a pale ale.
