Hi everyone. Been home brewing in Atlanta, GA for about a year now. Found out about BIAB from NB brewing TV and started doing small batches. Now have several BIAB brews under my belt from milds to big IPAs and love it. I brew in a small apartment so this system works great for me. So glad to find a site dedicated to BIAB.

1. Where are from?
Faversham, a small town near Canterbury, Kent in England. Famous for its brewery and hops

2. How did you stumble across the site?
It was referred to on Jims beer kit whilst researching BIAB

3. What you think of it so far?
Looks great, can't wait to get stuck in

4. Have you brewed at all before. If so, for how long and what method are you currently using?
I've been brewing for 3 years and have recently sold my 70l stainless 'bells and whistles' system, in favour of twin 33l pots, to be temp controlled BIAB vessels, allowing me to make 12l of two different beers in a fraction of the time of my old system, allowing me to brew more often, and experiment more.

Getting sorted to brew next week, only 8 weeks until the UK national homebrew competition!

Hi there,

My name is Mick and I live on the south coast of NSW in Australia.

I have brewed from kits on and off but after I moved down here a couple of years ago I met a guy through soccer who was into all grain. He invited me over for a brew day and I saw his 3V system as well as his brothers BIAB.

Since then I have been piecing together my own rig and trying to learn as much as possible from this forum as well as a few others. There is a lot if information out there to pick through and a lot of it is incredibly confusing and contradictory to newcomers to all grain.

I did my first brew last Sunday and decided to keep it as simple as possible by doing a SMaSH of maris otter ale and Amarillo. Not concentrating too much on targets but taking good measurements and trying to use the process to get to know the process and my heat.

It tasted great out of the kettle and now I am waiting to bottle a fresh wort kit I have been cold crashing (why not get some cheap beer with your cube purchase?) before fermentation.

I was surprised by how stress free I found the process but I imagine that when trying to brew specific targets, step mash etc etc that it is possible to make it as stressful as you like!

I'll post more about my first brew day elsewhere but one thing that has struck me is that brewers on the whole are a great bunch who are passionate about their hobby and really supportive of new brewers joining the party!

I'm originally from Kentucky but I'm now living in San Antonio. I've been interested in home brewing for several years but I'm just now getting around to getting started. Hope to brew my first batch soon.

Good evening brewers, hope all are well at your side. I'm from Singapore & have tried brewing a few from the beer kits. As we stay in a small apartment, space is really a constraint & to go brewing with grains, BIAB seems to be the most suitable. I'm planning a BIAB for my next brew, will seek your advice on the process.

Welcome to the addiction. Yes! BIAB is the newest, easiest, fastest and most economical way to brew! The beer comes out the same as the more expensive and cumbersome 3 vessel brewing that dominates the web. You are among friends here so if you can't find it ask! I am sure you will find it already posted?

Hello Guys, Im new here.
My Name is Fabian and i brew around a bit more then one year now. I have actually no BIAB-experience since i brew with another system. Alot of pictures you can see at my blog: www.freubreu.wordpress.com

1. Where are you from?
Im from Germany near Cologne. So i hope my language is good enough to comunicate without you have to think about what "he" wants to say :D

2. How did you stumble across the site?
I want to set up for a BIAB-System since i get my 160L Pot. I want to find an easy way to brew with single infusion step in my garden, see a fast and attractive method to use the single pot, getting around 100L Beer at the end.
3. What you think of it so far?
I Like the informations i get and i want to improve my brewer skills. Also i want to fix my english since i need it in the next years.
4. Have you brewed at all before. If so, for how long and what method are you currently using?
I use gas heated method with a agitator and good heat control. So maybe i used almost all brew-technics, i brew top fermenting and bottom fermenting yeasts. I brew about 15 different beer styles, with my normal Brew-System its possible to brew every beerstyle which is out there
5. Do you work? Are you retired or maybe you run a household?
Im student actually, and i finished my bachelor in "food technology" few weeks ago. In some month i will start with my master!

Im Happy to find this english community, if u didnt understand what i talk about just ask me.

Welcome! Your english is better than most. I am sure it is better than mine and I have been practicing it for 65 years! As you read the posts, you will probably have worse English than when you started? Blame the Australians for that! Looking forward to learning from you!

i'm Adriano from Italy, Rome, sorry for my rusty english! :)

2. How did you stumble across the site?
Find it googling online about ebiab.

3. What you think of it so far?
It's really an informative and qualified forum, lots of info and nice people willing to help, great place.

4. Have you brewed at all before. If so, for how long and what method are you currently using?
Really a newbie in this world, have done threee batches, two from Kits and one E+G, i like a lot to make (and drink!) beers with friends.


My apartment is a bit small with a little garage so i'm really interested into Biab, looks to me for the perfect (and only) solution to go AG without all the headache and space requirement of three vessels.

I've done a fermentation chamber with and old Fridge and an STC1000 controller, works great, looking for a decent water boiler to E-biab in my garage, here in italy we have limited "electricity supply" (hope are the right words for what i mean), standard contracts are 220v-3,3kilowatt, next step is 4,5kw and it's a lot more expensive so i'm struggling to find a solution to do 5 gallon batch in a urn (maybe burco/buffalo 40l urn) without making an electric blackout everytime :D.


Hope to increase my skill and knowledge, and having fun of course!

No need for us to be patient. BIAB is as easy as falling off a log. You will be brewing BIAB (bye ab) in no time at all so just look around and brew!

Hello! My name is João, I'm from Brazil and I have dived head first on the homebrewing world this year!

2. How did you stumble across the site? I've been researching about BIAB and the forum kept coming up!

3. What you think of it so far? It seems to be an endless source of knowledge!

4. Have you brewed at all before. If so, for how long and what method are you currently using? I'll bottle my second batch this next weekend. To start things up, I've brewed extract kits, but I'm already planning my next batch, in which I'll apply yhe BIAB method.

5. Do you work? Are you retired or maybe you run a household? I m a lawyer at a large telecommunications company.
