Starter for 3 US gallons (11.356 liters)

Post #1 made 9 years ago
Hi,
I'm planning to do my first BIAB. It'll be 3 US gallons (11.356 liters). Also I've bought a stir-plate, which I'm itching to use. I'll be using a Wyeast Activator pack

My question is: is a starter for this smaller batch okay to do, or will I be pitching too much yeast into the wort?

GVHorwitz, Depending on your Fermentation Temperature, it is Difficult to Use Too Much Yeast.

The fermentation will happen faster, But, you can Lose much of the yeast Flavors/esters.

It sure does beat slow fermentation, though!
