Well after a big disaster on my first BIAB, my Buffalo water boiler is not even turning on. Anyone give me any help in how to open it up so I can try to fix and why it might have cut out completely (I burnt my mash bag on the bottom of the boiler - even though it has a concealed element!)?
Many thanks if you can help

Don't you have a reset button at the bottom of your boiler? I briefly flirted with electric BIAB's in a 20L Cygnet boiler and I do recall that it also cut out on me once. All I had to do was to press the red rest button that was visible if you turned the boiler around. Also, if that is the problem
, then you might need to open up the boiler and bypass the "thermal cut-out" (terminology) and "boil-dry" protection. This link might help http://www.jimsbeerkit.co.uk/forum/view ... =6&t=34075.

But I can't find a reset switch on my Buffalo! Think I might have to open it up.
Would that be Done from the inside ( it's a concealed element ) or from underneath?

Its most likely to be from underneath as the inside will be sealed to hold in the water ..
