    I've had some inactive time away from the site and it's sad to come back and hear that we lost Pat. I didn't know him as well as some of you but we had communicated by email back and forth a number of times about adding features to Biabacus. Sincerely hope we as a community can keep this site active, it definitely has feed my love of home brewing and undoubtedly has done the same for many brewers here.

    While in the process of re-arranging things here at headquarters, one part of my main computer has decided to play up. I'm still trying to get the time and knowledge to find out which bit - hopefully not the motherboard!

    Finally my brain is not only working again, I have also had some time to actually use it :)
    
    Just installed some server updates, one of which was Certbot. It asked me to make a choice between two things that I had no understanding of. Tossing a coin solved that problem :) . The biabrewer.info address still threw the problem up, however the -d trick, Kevk mentioned, fixed that :salute:.
    I believe I have the certificates set to auto-renew but, if things start playing up again on 17 Oct 12:25...

12. BIABAcus PR1.3U - Fixes an error in Section F

    BIABacus PR1.3T and perhaps some other prior versions were incorrectly calculating the WYWU (What you will use) amount in Section F. This version fixes it.
    
    I do have quite a new version of The BIABacus however I think I'll need a mathematician to make a few changes that I really want to see. Until then, I trust PR1.3U will keep you going .

    One of the many, many skills I don't have is photography.
    
    I'm not sure if brewing photography is a common skill, but I need lots and lots of pics for the new site on anything and everything relating to brewing. For example, I need photos, pics, graphics, or illustrations:
    
    - to act as the background image for various landing pages.

    By the way, the image of using a sheet of OSB as a brew kettle wind break may not be a good example. With the weather we had that day, raining sideways , it was something that had to be done...to brew on the back porch. If someone wasn't paying attention and had the sheet too close to the flame, it could use the sheet of OSB as a bridge to get into the roof of a house... Don't want someone to burn their house down. :nup:

    I thought the podcast was useful. Being a new brewer I think the language definitely would help brewers communicate. Defining terms is always the first thing one needs to do. Learning all of the new terminology and nuances is nearly impossible since like you said everyone does something different. I need to go back and listen to the show. I think this was the first BBR that I listened to and I've still tuned back in. I do hope that James will have you on in the future and some more discussion...

    Well, in my picture of reality, Pat... The podcast was good/great. It was an intro to a lot of folks who are devotees to Basic Brewing. I listen to or watch every one. So, to be sure.. exposure was excellent. HOWEVER, the massive beauty of that introduction is the patience you have had, not only in creating such a great piece of work with BIABacus.. but the time you have spent with the folks who are intending to get into this form of brewing.
