      After 6 kits and a lot of reading at the other place I decided it was about time I made some real beer.
      Buffalo boiler bought and modified and my custom grain bag picked up yesterday morning, my first recipe was to be as follows:
      
      The Delhi Llama - Traditional English Pale Ale
      
      Grain Bill:
      4000g Marris Otter
      250g Caramalt
      
      90 minute mash.
      
      90 minute boil:
      
      40g of East Kent Goldings @ 90mins
      40g of East Kent Goldings @ 20mins
      
      Waiting for the water to reach mash temp
      
      Assistant brewers being...

      Congratulations hodor :clap:,
      
      It's hard to advise on your efficiecny hodor as we need more information. For example, 60% would be good fernmentor efficeicny on a high gravity beer but it would be very poor if you mean kettle efficiency on a low gravity beer. Check out this thread for a little more info on kettle versus fermentor efficiency.

   2. First BIAB AG, hop schedule suggestions please?

      Hi all,
      
      I'm planning to brew my first AG batch this weekend (I pick up my custom made bag on saturday morning).
      
      I was originally planning to do a SMASH with East Kent Goldings (100g) and Marris Otter (5kg) but at the last minute ordered 1Kg of Caramalt on a whim (and only 4Kg of Marris Otter) for a 23L brew length.
      
      I have been playing around with BIABacus and I'm fairly confident with my volumes and mash temperature.
      
      I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on what times and how...
