   1. I Always undershoot my O.G. :(

      Hey guys. I have brewed 5 or 6 2.5 gallon stovetop batches. On all of them my O.G. has been at least 6 points low. I have read about the reasons I might be having low efficiency.... So yesterday I tried a 90 min mash instead of 60 to see if that would get me some more points. After I lifted the grain bag and let it drain I was .3 gallon short of my anticipated water level so I put the grain bag in a bucket and sparged until I had enough to meet the correct level. Does this logic make sense?...

      Fred, I've spent a lot of time on this thread but I'm really not getting enough feedback so I don't know where you are at and what you have checked or changed. For example...
      
      Did you do a mash-out as mally suggested?
      Did you use the hydrometer rather than the refractometer?
      
      I can't tell from your posts whether you have even read and checked the elven things listed in the link that I posted in post #12 above. I can see several things of those 11 factors that definitely could be your problem....

   2. Q on using the BIABacus to design your own recipe

      Hey guys. I know that the biabicus is for scaling down recipes, but as long as you plug in your O.G. it will figure the correct amount of grains No matter what you have in the original grain bill design right? Like I just used the biabicus from a recipe I scaled down and plugged in the grains I wanted to use, but the amounts on the left are almost the same as the right, but the original recipe had a eobv of 6 gallons. I think I'm making sense?

   3. All Galaxy IPA

      Hey guys. I've done a couple successful mini biabs and I thought I would give my own recipe a try. I know that I like Galaxy hops and that I want a beer with 65 ibu's and 6.5 abv. I used another biab recipe as a template and came up with this. How does it look? My only question is about the crystal. I know there are many different levels of them. I want a nice hoppy beer but with a hint of sweet in the malt. If you could give me any suggestions I would love to hear them.

      Hey guys. I keep reading that using citra for bittering will give you some funky flavors. If you don't use a bittering hop and add everything in the last 20 min what will happen? I do have some left over Chinook could I bitter with Chinook.
