OG from 15 Litres to 23

If I use the no chill method and use my 15 litre cube, and want to add 8 litres of water when fermenting to get to 23 litres, how do I calculate the OG at 15 litres which is required to add 8 litres and reach my required OG for 23 litres? Is there a problem with doing that?

What method do you use to start the siphon? Submerge the hose in the kettle and block off the end? Something else?

Grain Crush

I am slowing absorbing the information getting ready for my first mini-biab. How crushed should the grain be? One tutorial suggested using the coffee bean grinder and seemed to produce a "flour-like" consistency. What is the optimal crush when ordering online from a supplier?
