      As always on liquids your mileage may vary some. Also, grind will change the absorption rate. Always try to grind the same setting for consistancy. Boil rate will change if you use a propane burner also.
      As far as To squeeze or not to squeeze , that is the question I personally have never had off flavors {tannins} due to squeezing the bag. I do also let it drain over a collender not the pot. Only change in flavor profile has been due to I brew outside and will pick up wild yeast due to spring...

      Before helping others to convert a recipe they post here, please make sure you have fully read and understood this post and the others it refers to.
      
      Every beer recipe needs to be adjusted to suit both your own brewing method as well as your equipment. For example, it will be obvious to all but the newest brewers that an extract recipe needs to be converted to a grain recipe.       I do not think the BIABacus has a specific line for altitude adjustment. My guess is that you will have to learn by experience and change the amount of hops accordingly. I know that's not real helpful, but at higher altitudes, the boiling point of wort with specific gravity above 1.000 can still be less than 100 ºC (212 ºF). It is hot enough to do what is intended.
      
      To your exact question about hops in the boil, those added at 60 minutes (remaining boil time) will be the same for any altitude....

      Thanks, PP, for support. I see more clearly that integrity of a recipe is an all-or-nothing deal.
      
      As for the IBU mystery, I haven’t a clue. Even realistic Tinseth IBUs derived from AA% and weights lose any distinction in flavor to me once above 120 - it registers as Bitter and little else. That would surely be true if there were no late addition hops / dry hopping for flavor & aroma.

      I have definitely gained great value out of the site over the years irrespective of the format/ interface. I've just bought some BIPS so hope that helps.
      
      Good luck on the elegant solution. Don't be discouraged by IT headaches; even us IT professionals often have big issues with major changes. I hope you at least have a test site you can run up so you don't have to big bang the live system to the desired end state and hope for the best!

      I do like the shorter kegs for my Keezer, I convert them to Ball lock. And I have found out about Cornelius fittings in my travels, I have had issues disconnecting generics.
      somehow I wish that the sellers would get the message about cheap gods from China. I go out of my way not to buy the stuff because it never last.

       Thanks for your patience over the last few days.
       
       Having the site down allowed for a tremendous amount of backend work to be done (a more thorough IT explanation in the next post). For those not familiar with that side of things, an analogy would be that we were constantly maintaining, patching and repairing a crumbling building. The last few days enabled the old building to be demolished, new foundations laid, materials tested and then assembled.

       Changing servers seems to be an odd process where some users will be on the new server, depending on their Internet Service Provider (ISP), much faster than others. Some ISP's can take two days to get you to the new server apparently.
       
       If you type in biabrewer.info and see...

       On Sunday, for reasons explained in this post , we'll move BIABrewer.info from the current shared server to a dedicated server. Before we do that, could you test the site's speed and post your results?
       
       The only way I know of doing it properly (without any third party tools) is using Chrome so please post if you know how to do the following with another browser and I'll update this post.

       I was hoping to collect some more figures on kettle evaporation rates to see if the exisitng evaporation formula used in The Calculator needs any improvement.
       
       If possible, can you please post the following in this thread...
       
       1. Your average internal kettle diameter and type. (For keg users, see picture below and estimate.)
       2. How much wort you evaporated off during the boil. (Start of boil volume minus end of boil volume.)
