Hi guys,
BIAB seems to be everywhere these days but still thought I would let you know that my BIAB Sweet Stout managed to get Champion Beer of Show at this years Nationals (Australian).
Got a 2nd for my FES and 3rd for my DIPA as well.
Loving it!
Cheers
Hi,
yep I have a 2:1 pulley to get the bag out without breaking my back.
No chill in a couple of 20L cubes and ferment in a 60L fermenter, which just fits in my fermenting fridge!
Thought I would share my shiny new setup. 20110625-140358.jpg It’s a 120L aluminium pot with a SS 2 piece ball valve. Fellow BIABers, the 2011 comp season is almost here!!

I have a barleywine fermenting now and next week will do my fav b...
Ever since I started biab'ing I have dumped the entire kettle as soon as I turn the flame out into a fermenter. This is then placed on the work bench with something that is around 2.5 cm thick under the tap section of the fermenter (usually it's a garden glove or paint brush). I leave is over night ...
Fairly sure there would be other BIABs in the places, more than happy to hear if that's the case. :P Ahem. Sorry, was that the sound of the floor being wiped?! :D Yep, got a few to add to that Castle Hill/NSW comp list as well. Got 3rd with my German Pils, HC for the schwarzbier, HC for the RIS and...
