      Hi everyone,
      
      I am a new brewer and have gotten a lot of helpful advice from this forum and ideas from viewing other peoples rigs. I finally figured I would post my own.
      
      The Key to brewing in an apartment is upgrading the large stove coils to Canning coils . they ROCK! Here is a pic of one of them installed, its the rear coil in the pic. Not only do they heat the water very fast, they are raised higher then the standard coils as well as are reinforced to hold large amounts of weight.

      brickbrewhaus Actually this is 1 full boil 5 gallon batch. I split the batch between 2 pots.
      
      If i did something like a maxi-biab or a partial boil biab, 2x 5 gallon would be easy in the 3 hrs.
      Alternatively, I have done 2x 5 gallon batches by starting the second batch 1 hour later and mashing on the counter rather than leaving on the stove. Its a bit more work shifting the pots around, but it can easily be done.
      
      In terms of the canning element, they are much more powerful then the standard...

   2. Stainless Steel No-chill Fermenter?

      Does anyone ferment in their no chill container? I am thinking if i switch to a stainless steel fermenter, i could ferment in the same container i no chill in.

      I pressure ferment in a s/s 5 gallon corny. If you don't like the idea of pressure, you can do a regular ferment with a blow off tube. I have some photos of what I've been doing with BIAB and pressure fermenting since May 2011, below...

   3. BIAB Electric boil kettle/ primary fermenter all in one?

      Hi Everyone,
      
      To maximize laziness, what do you think of a 2 in 1 boil kettle/primary fermenter?
      
      I was thinking using a 20 gallon mega pot, installing a 240v 5500w element(or using that is removable, like a heatstick design) then using a seal from blichmann or similiar that they use to seal their conical fermenters.
      
      When boil was finished, seal the top with blichmann seal and install a airlock or blow off tube.
      just do the whole primary fermentation in the kettle, afterward, rack to...
