Strike Temperature Problems

I have entered some competitions here in the states...I came in 3rd for Best of 2010 in my LHBC (there were 20 beers), and in the Coconut Cup in Miami FL (BJCP) I didn't place but was given a 38. Not bad for my first entrys (it was the same beer in both contests).

Wow! Knock out a few more batches if it keeps happening, wow thats awesome. But in theory shouldn't 100% be the best you can get? I mean you can't extract more sugar then there actually is....

Brew day at Excessive HoppYness Brewing..... This was my first "BIAB" All-grain batch. Everything went expected, My brew house effeminacy came out to 87%...I was shocked. Yeah we have worked very hard to build the bar we have. My wife and I both have fun out there. Also I typically make enough in my "tip the brewer" jar to pay for the next batch. So it's win win...My friends and family get to try beers they have never had, and I get to brew them! Thanks for the kind ...
