Where abouts are you located outbreak? Maybe get a local home brew store, beer aficionado etc to have a taste. I was super scared of trying recipes, but it has become a little easier the more I get into it. I use beersmith & some other advice if creating something new. Don't get too hung up on it al...
I brew cause it's fun & totally addictive, after doing some kits etc, found that making good beer was not that hard with BIAB. It totally opened up a new world of learning, fun & experimentation + you get to drink the spoils  I like to make things from scratch & this is another in a long lin...

Quick update here on the recipe that PP helped me with, am having a few glasses of it now. It's probably not quite ready to drink yet, but when has that ever stopped a brewer....
Quick update on my brew that I was helped out with. It's ready to keg now, tastes pretty good too i reckon, not a gold medal beer, but a damn good result for me I think. Thanks again to PP for your passion & dedication to BIAB, thanks for this cool new site too. Thanks to all you other kind folk for...
Nice work iijakii!! I did mine on the weekend too, thanks PP for all that info, was a great help. My gravity ended up a little low, but that should be ok. Came across some things I hadn't experienced before doing smaller BIAB, like hot break & i threw in half a whirfy tablet too. Was happy that all ...
Goldy - have just fixed one error I had on the weight of Grain 2. I had made a typo. Also have added your "Water Required" figure. Awesome work PP, thanks heaps for the info. I saw that grain volume & figured it was a typo. Am playing with the sheet to replicate you figures now. Thanks heaps, this ...
[Administration Note: goldy posted the below whilst the post above was still being written. It looks as though he has done all that is needed though. Top job goldy and good luck!] Hi Guys, Looking at making this one on the weekend, I have a new pot that I haven't used yet though. Still a little con...
Ok, finally got some time & inclination to do a wrap on my first BIAB. Mine is a 16ltr pot, so I used a minimal recipe advised from AHB, I decided to use a 12ltr boil. I lost around 50% of the liquid after boiling & bag absorption, not sure if this is normal or not though. I topped up when going int...
Thanks for the replies guys, I think I will just forgo the kids clothes & food & get the supplier to crack for me for now. Will buy a mill further down the track.
Wondering what sort of gadgets people use to crush grain? Starting in the bottom (cheaper) end, I was curious if coffee grinders, kitchen wizz sticks etc are ok for crushing for BIAB?
Hi all, I'm on the Gold Coast in QLD, have been doing kit brews for about a year now. Recently made a couple of extract brews, so slowly working up to bigger & better brewing :D Found this site from AHB, I read the BIAB stuff from PP & ended up here the other week. It looks like it's taking some sha...
