      Well my grain just arrived today. Spunding Valve and new keg on its way (top tips from MS), Weeks of prep and doing a few practice extract brews are over and I will now be AG on Saturday.
      
      Im doing a very simple Blonde Beer using Safale US-05
      could the good people of the forum have a look at the babicus grain bill and check I hav'nt made any schoolboy errors Im after a 5% ABV

   2. Shelf cooler line balancing

      I've been using my Keezer happily, although I did take some time to balance my lines etc...!
      
      I have just picked up a cheap shelf cooler (Maxi 210) and will set it it up in a little bar that can be wheeled into the garden for BBQ,s. It will consist of a countertop with cooler under on a shelf and barrel under that shelf...so all within 500mm of each other!
      
      Question is..is there issues with line balancing or formulas related to how long the python line ( insulated beer line) needs to be for one...

   3. Dry/fresh hops vs pellets

      Is there a difference when using dry hops or pellet hops when you are measuring out a recipe?

      Ok...newbie question!
      
      If I do a mash, boil it and leave it to cool overnight. can I pitch the next day if left in the boiler, taking into account that the wort and boiler would be sterile due to before mentioned boiling being done?
      
      It would split my brew sessions and make life a little easier, ie brew session one evening...finish the next?
      
      What's the thinking on that? :shoot:

      Bed sheet, cut to size....much easier to iron and sterilise and clip down me thinks!

      Hi all
      My build is starting to take shape. I have an electrical housing box coming with an SCT-1000 and I have also ordered a 2 circuit rotor selector that I want to switch from mashing with the SCT and potentially a recirculating pump, then over to a full boil directly connected to the two heating elements...my pot is 72ltr. I hope to have everything plugged into a double outlet at the rear of the electrical housing and wanted to simply turn the switch so the full boil mode takes over from the...

      Should listen to my peers....panel worked well but was only 10amps....needless to say as it approached boil it frazzled.....new (more expensive) switch on its way! (Only a practice run with water thank goodness)
      
      It was all linked up and working as I hoped as far as wiring goes, so not an entirely lost cause! Even fashioned a brilliant mounting system with indicator lights, labels and also attached a separate timer to it....a real thing of beauty!....and totally unesseccary, but hey!
