Do you have a link to the BIABacus? The only links I've found were for an old calculator.

If I do grab the 27L one I'll put up my experience with it.

I haven't bought anything yet and just some opinions before I buy. The T500 has a removable still top part. Size isn't as big a deal. I'm only ever wanting to do ~20L batches with around 18L bottled.

Has anyone used a T500 Still? They seem to be Brewers Choice's.. choice for an electric urn / kettle. I've also seen that a lot of people use the Crown 40L. Both the T500 and Crown have enclosed elements but the T500 has no handles, no external water level gauge and holds only 27L. I'm after any inf...

Have you read "How to Brew" by John Palmer. There was a section on water in it from memory. I glossed over it as I don't do AG but it might be worth a read.
