      Hi all. I was cooling a brew the other day with my home made copper coils with tap water, I had connected the poly hose to the pipes but didnt put clamps on them as in past the other hoses had been tight enough and didnt expand as these did with the hot wort. I tuned the tap on a bit high and water leaked down the side of the copper into the pot , I didnt notice the increase of water it went up from 21 lt to 23 lt . My question is will the water ruin the brew or will it just dilute it. I will...

      I had a leak into my pot with well water. Three batches in a row where dumped because of infection until I saw where it came from. I have no-chilled ever since and have a perfect record (and medals) to prove it! Don't let un-sanitized water into your un-fermented wort! Bad things could happen? If it's well water it will fail!
