      After looking at countless Brown Porter recipes, I've taken what I like most from some of these recipes and tried to combine them. I'm hoping to create something slightly sweet, with a nice caramel flavour and a hint of chocolate. Not sure if I'm a little heavy on the choc malt?
      
      I'd also happily scale an existing recipe if someone can point me to a favourite of theirs.
      
      As this is only the 4th BIABacus that I've done, I'm sure there'll be a few mistakes in there that need attention too....

      If you are looking to make something a little sweeter and less dry; you could bump your mash temps up a little and produce some more unfermentable sugars.

   2. First BIAB bottled

      So I finally got my BIAB equipment together and got a brew done. Used the BIABacus to convert the Dr Smurto's Golden ale recipe to suit my 20L birko urn.
      
      Anyway, things were tasting pretty good prior to bottling and I'm really looking forward to sampling the finished product.
      
      Things didn't go perfectly smoothly, efficiencies weren't fantastic and my O.G. was a little lower than expected...BUT it was a fun day and a big learning curve. After many kit brews it is awesome to have an all grain...

      A mash-out is good but regular stirring and temp checks during the mash are the first priority ;). (Not sure if you gathered that bit from my last post ;)).
