(Milo is a yummy chocolate flavoured drink for those who don't know)

staring at a jar and realising milo is made from malted barley. I decided to Google a good recipe, has anybody tried to make it milo from scratch?? I'm going to give it a go when I’m back in my home country, here’s the recipe I found.

To the equivalent of either 1 cup of milk, or water (in a saucepan), add:

2 1/2 tsps of Malt Extract (8.4g)
3 1/2 tsps of Milk Powder (5g)
1 tsp of Sugar (Xylitol, or Dextrose) (4.2g)
2 tsps of Cocoa (3.6g)

1/32 tsp Sodium Bicarbonate (.13g)
1/64 tsp Vanilla (Ground) (.03g)

Directions:

Turn on the stovetop heat (medium heat), and stir mixture until well blended. Do not let it boil... just a nice, light, simmer will do

In the UK we have Ovaltine & Horlicks.

Whenever I am preparing DME (starter wort etc). It always reminds me of Horlicks, so Shouldn't be difficult to make your own I guess?

Give that recipe a go & let us know how it goes!
