Interesting. I have the book by Mitch Steele on the history of the India Pale Ale. Time for a re-read?

I recently listened to Mitch Steele on the brewingradio podcast from a while back, that book sounded really interesting. I'm thinking of doing an Enlish IPA outside the BJCP guidelines, really hoppy about 80 IBU with fuggles and east kent goldings and that Warminster Maris Otter that's a bit darker from Northern Brewer.

Thanks, PP. That's a very cool link, love the hydrometer I'd prefer a 1050 to 1000 myself. My only ancient bit of kit is a flannel shirt from 1974
