What I find freaky about this GBP thing is that 29 years ago I visited America on the way back from the Falklands. We docked in Fort Lauderdale and apart from enjoying the spring break I came away with a Green Bay Packers baseball cap. Why I chose the Green Bay Packers way back then was a mystery, its all becoming clear to me now.

Why is everyone talking about "Cheese"

All, :champ:

We will be playing Cheesestradamus starting with the preseason. The games don't count for anything except to weed out the players to get down to the final 53 from the 90 trying to make the team. I hope to work on the website to tweak up my rushed programming last year. This is one of the most brutal schedules in all of football. The Packers play three playoff teams from last year to start the season. The preseason will be a test to ready the website! Here is the schedule for 2013-2014.......

Preseason

Week 1: Arizona, 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9 (state TV)

Week 2: at St. Louis 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17 (state TV)

Week 3: Seattle, 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23 (Gold package, CBS)

Week 4: at Kansas City, 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 29 (state TV)

Regular season

Week 1: at San Francisco, 3:25 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 8 (Fox)

Week 2: Washington, noon Sunday, Sept. 15 (Fox)

Week 3: at Cincinnati, noon Sunday, Sept. 22 (Fox)

Week 4: Bye

Week 5: Detroit, noon Sunday, Oct. 6 (Gold package, Fox)

Week 6: at Baltimore, noon Sunday, Oct. 13 (Fox)

Week 7: Cleveland, 3:25 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20 (CBS)

Week 8: at Minnesota, 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27 (NBC)

Week 9: Chicago, 7:40 p.m. Monday, Nov. 4 (ESPN)

Week 10: Philadelphia, noon Sunday, Nov. 10 (Gold package, Fox)

Week 11: at New York Giants, Sunday, 7:30 p.m. Nov. 17 (NBC)*

Week 12: Minnesota, noon, Sunday, Nov. 24 (Fox)*

Week 13: at Detroit, 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 28 (Fox)*

Week 14: Atlanta, 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8 (NBC)*

Week 15: at Dallas, 3:25 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15 (Fox)*

PackerFan,

They will always suck even if they get better. This year we will win it all! :champ:

Today I am actually working on improving http://cheesestradamus.com

Next August (the 9th) we start a new season of Cheesestradamus. I expect you and your family to play! We have a group of BIAB brewers playing around the world! This year I will be ready for preseason just to get the new system checked out. If you win I send out a few (cheap) gifts to the winners. All Packer trinkets!

Have a good day!

P.S. "Cheese" is mostly a guess so you don't have to know anything. Unless I win! Then it is brilliance and cunning choices!

Go Pack Go!

I hope the Packers never play in London and nor should any other NFL teams. Goodell is slowly ruining this sport

PackerFan,
Goodell is slowly ruining this sport
True, true. But expansion will happen. The sport is growing internationally and we are over saturated here in the States. Did you see that the NFL is going to have cameras in the locker rooms this season?? So we can watch the guys undress and take showers??? I love my Packers but not "That" much???

I expect you to be in "cheese" this season. The prizes are worth it! Some cost me as much as $3. Actually I really liked the Packer bottle opener!

All football fans! The Cheesestradamus website is waiting for you to join and win some "Big, Big, Prizes" The 2013 American Football Season is about to start! This year we will be playing the Pre-Season games as a test run and trouble shooting exercise. We will only use the Pre-Season points as a tie breaker. So they will count for something so why not accumulate them?

I am redoing the internal workings of the site so it will be easier for me to maintain. The outward appearance will change some but not extravagantly. After the points are totaled the site will show which points you received for what question. Making it easier for you to know where you received points and easier for you to catch any mistakes on my part.

We will have prizes for the fist half season. The second half, and the post season. Three chances to win. If you are expecting to win (aren't we all) have your mailing address filled out!

You don't have to know anything about the Green Bay Packers or American football at all? The folks who know "everything?" about football outsmart themselves each week and lose. The people who know nothing about it seem to win each and every week? The average of all the answers given are on the site to help you pick! Why not?

It only takes a minute. Do it now and get ready for the real Season that starts September 8th! :luck: :luck:

Bob - If you are tweaking your cheese site, could you add the dates to the games yet to play? Just makes it easier to see when picks become necessary.

Lylo, I'm pretty sure that first prize is a walk-in cooler/fermentor/fridge. If it wasn't, why on earth would I be signing up for a second season in the...

2013 Cheestradamus thread.

  :smoke:
