Excessive HoppYness Brewing

Well, I I saw the other 'Man Cave' thread and wanted to share mine. My wife started construction on this as my Christmas present (2010). My best friend made me keggels for brewing.

It's been about a 9 month process from start to finish, but now I can say it's done....Started as a dream and an 12'X20' outbuilding.

We have built a deck on the front also, but no pics...Maybe I will have my wife snap some off this weekend brewin on it!

If you spend as much time and effort in brewing your beers as you do in building your man cave I don't want to face you in a competition! What a dream house you have there. Good brewing to you.

I'm so jealous right now! What a wonderful wife you must have too build a man cave for you. Either that or she really doesn't like you very much and just wants to be away from you :)

bagman, sub-divide the block, sell the house and live in the shed. There is no downside to this.

Yeah we have worked very hard to build the bar we have. My wife and I both have fun out there. Also I typically make enough in my "tip the brewer" jar to pay for the next batch. So it's win win...My friends and family get to try beers they have never had, and I get to brew them!

Jealousity set to 100%!

Does your bar do double duty as a card table? sortof has the right shape for a BlackJack etc table :)

Brew day at Excessive HoppYness Brewing.....

This was my first "BIAB" All-grain batch. Everything went expected, My brew house effeminacy came out to 87%...I was shocked. My Pre-Boil gravity was 1.050 and post boil, I was at 1.053.

Nice work bagman, very jealous. I like the "tip the brewer" idea, I may have to do that myself :lol:.

Yeah it works out for the most part. There is enough to kick off my next batch. Still have to decide what it will be.

Currently I have an Irish Red on Tap, a Blueberry Pale Ale (force carbing, I am taking it to a family reunion on Saturday) Then a Belgian Triple (on top of the Fermentation fridge), The Hefe (in the fridge) and a batch of GRAF (Malted Apple Cider) I did yesterday. This should get my pipeline back in order.

My LHBC Club Brew will be on the 25th, and I'm hosting, so I should have some more good pics!

Good on you bagman! Nice setup you have. I know it's a good feeling you have to host a beer club brew at your brewhaus.

I'll have to be on my toes if I ever enter competition against you...
